Venture through billion-year old Western Brook Pond Fjord and watch waterfalls turn to mist right before your eyes. Located in Gros Morne National Park, your journey begins on a 3-km interpretive trail through a flatlands bog, moose and caribou habitat full of carnivorous pitcher plants and Sphagnum mosses. Once onboard, local interpretive guides share cultural and natural history sprinkled with a good dose of the Rockโ€™s iconic salt-of-the-earth humour. Newfoundlander music accompanies the 16-km, two-hour boat tour into this rare land-locked, 600-meter tall fjord. Youโ€™ll gaze upon The Old Man in the Mountain and Tin Man among other fabled rock formations. The return journey takes you below several hanging valleys plus Blue Denim and Pissing Mare Waterfalls, diamond-filled cascades stretching toward the sky from the boat below.
